Coaching Programme
Junior Ilkley Harriers is the junior section of Ilkley Harriers AC and provides training, racing, and social activities for young athletes. The Club colours are red and green. Please send any enquiries to Shirley (email shirley@ilkleyharriers.org.uk).
General athletics: Open to everyone – all abilities & newcomers
We provide Run, Jump and Throw activities through our Sportshall Athletics session and our younger endurance running session.
Wednesday: Speed Endurance Running, IGS field. Years 4-6, 5.30 to 6.15.
Thursday: Sportshall Athletics, IGS sports hall, Years 3-7, 6pm to 7.15.
Endurance Running: For juniors who are training to compete for Ilkley (Years 7 to 13).
These sessions are for all abilities but there must be a desire to work hard and be self motivated to train to compete.
Monday: Fell Running Training, Ghyll Royd School field, 6pm to 7pm. Year 7 and older.
Wednesday: Speed Endurance Training, IGS field. 6.15 to 7.30.
Thursday: Sally Malir’s ‘by invitation only’ small mentored group of Year 9+ (sessions organised with individuals). If interested speak to Kate Lofthouse at Wednesday session.
