Junior Sprint Fell Relay

• Start at 18.00h, registration from 17.00h
• £6 per team entry on the day only. All entry fees collected will be donated to Nell Bank Charitable Trust and go towards supporting children who might not be able to afford to come to the centre.
• Teams of 4:
  • 2 competitions: younger (6-10 years) and older (11 to 14 years);
  • 3 categories: Boys, Girls, Mixed (2 boys, 2 girls)
  • Age on race day
  • Younger boys/girls can be competitive in the older category
  • Runners are competitive in one team only

Course

Using the ½ mile course from the Ilkley Moor fell race – start on the flat grass, turn left to cross the stream and up the hill towards the bandstand, turn right and follow the main path up towards White Wells., Turn right here to run across the grass path and then over the bridge. Turn immediately right along the path with the enclosed area on your left (TAKE CARE there is barbed wire on the top of the wooden fence). Once out into the open it’s a fast run downhill to the handover point at the yellow star (hand touch). The course is fully flagged and marshalled. Leg 1 is slightly longer.

There was a minor tweak to the course in 2022 but we don’t think it changed the nature of the racing much. Going forward we have decided to show new records in bold but leave the older ones for historic value.
