From Alison Weston…
Four Harriers took part in the 50th anniversary of the Borrowdale fell race on Saturday which saw 218 runners complete the course.
A brutal 27 km route with 2000 m climbing over Bessy Boot, Scafell Pike, Great Gable and Dalehead with some exciting descents en route and quite a bit of route choice in places (not so successful in my case!)
Paul Carman was first Harrier back in 4:23 hrs (93rd) followed by Martin Hartley in 4:29 (107th).
Katie Poulter had a great race on her first Borrowdale race to finish in 5.00 hrs (165th) followed by Alison Weston in 5:02 hrs (169th).
