Calderdale Way Relay – Sun 15 May

From Kate Archer…

Billed as Britain’s biggest club run off roader, the Calderdale Way Relay is organised by Halifax Harriers and is a fantastic event to be involved in.

There are six legs each run in pairs. Legs differ in length and profile but all are tough with plenty of climb, but runners are rewarded with some stunning scenery. It is a big organisational challenge for the organisers but also for teams who need all runners in the right place at the right time, having reccied routes and with all the kit required.

Ilkley entered two teams this year, a men’s team and a mixed team. A big thanks to everyone who took part! The men’s team were fourth overall and the mixed team were 12th mixed team. The winning team was Calder Valley in a time of 6:01:58.
