Another great result for Sam Bentham this weekend in the Coledale Horseshoe, a brilliant horseshoe run of 8.5 miles and 3501ft ascent from Braithwaite. A right mixture of weather this year – hail, snow, high winds and even bit of sunshine.
The winner was Tom Spencer in 1:09:06 then Sam 2nd in 1:11:16, ahead of Finlay Grant 3rd in 1:12:18.
Jamie Bentham also had a great race finishing in 1:49:55.
Nea and I were close together on the final hill, Barrow, with Nea surging ahead on the descent to finish in 2:04:55 with me a minute behind in 2:05:54.
